An image of Jason Sodikin, a Tech Promise Scholar who graduated in 2024, along with a quote about his time in Tech Promise. It reads: “Tech Promise brought the relief of knowing I can study what I want to, and I can live and experience college without the worry of how I’m going to pay for it all.”

Program Benefits

The Tech Promise Scholarship makes it possible for Georgia students from limited-income families to obtain a Georgia Tech degree debt free.

The funding students receive as a Tech Promise Scholar will meet 100% of financial need, assisting with costs associated with housing, a food service plan, books, supplies, personal expenses, and, of course, tuition and fees.

Funding is provided through a combination of the HOPE or Zell Miller scholarship along with grants, other scholarships, and a part-time job through Federal Work Study program.

Benefits of the program include:

  • A strong community of scholars who will support you throughout your time here.

  • Access to special speakers, employment opportunities, dinners, and receptions.

  • An annual retreat focusing on professional development and community building.

  • An $1,100 stipend toward the purchase of a laptop (within your first year).

  • Mentoring from staff, upper-cohort students, alumni, and faculty members.

  • A vast, well-established network of Georgia Tech alumni worldwide.

  • The nation's largest voluntary co-op program.
